AOL18 The ABC of sexual health
Course summary
This half day course will give participants more confidence in working with patients who present with sexual health issues. It is ideal for community clinicians who require an overview of sexual health issues, infections and how to introduce sexual health history taking into consultations. This study session gives participants a foundation level of knowledge they can build on if developing a speciality in sexual health.

Aims / objectives
At the end of this course participants will:
- Have a basic knowledge of common sexually transmitted infections
- Be able to discuss sexual health and take a history
- Understand HIV and possible presentation in general practice
- Understand prevention of transmission of infections including HIV
