A128 A Practice Nurse’s Guide to the 6-week post-natal check

Course summary

GP surgeries are now required to offer and provide new mothers with a postnatal check. This check offers women a chance to discuss their concerns and to gain information and guidance on issues and questions that they may have. Practice nurses are in an ideal position to provide such support. However, to effectively do this, they need to be aware of common and not so common issues and problems that may arise during this time. The aim of this course is to bring practitioners up to speed on some key issues and to help them better manage and assist women during this often-challenging period.
