IH30 Respiratory review: diagnosis and care
Course summary
This interactive workshop has been designed to help health care practitioners develop their knowledge of respiratory problems. The focus will be on identifying differential diagnoses, planning relevant care and supporting the patient in the community.

- Have developed a sound understanding of the respiratory system
- Feel confident in assessing a respiratory patient
- Be aware of the different symptoms and their relevance to diagnosis

- Recognise the importance of managing breathlessness

- Examination of the chest
- Spirometry and flow volume loops
- Introduction to chest X-ray
