This highly interactive, clinically focused course is tailored for community & primary care pharmacists who assess adult patients with various common complaints. The program is designed to build confidence and competence, addressing the challenges of everyday practice and the expanding role of pharmacists as frontline clinicians.

Aims / objectives
By the end of this 3-day workshop, participants will:
- Have reviewed the principles of adult history taking.
- Gain confidence in conducting episodic health histories for common patient presentations.
- Review the techniques of physical examination and apply them accurately to the systems reviewed.
- Perform physical examinations on peers, covering the systems taught.
- Become familiar with common clinical presentations, including differential diagnoses and management strategies.

- Review of the fundamental principles of history taking and physical examination techniques
- History taking and the patient with a headache.
- ENT assessment including neck lymphatics/ practice
- Diagnosis and management of ear conditions
- Respiratory system assessment and practice
- Management of upper and lower respiratory tract conditions (e.g., painful sinuses, sore throat, cough, bronchitis)
- Abdominal system assessment and practice
- Diagnosis and management of abdominal presentations
- Skin assessment, diagnosis, and management
